Hoping for a show at my local (Sellersville). Am very curious to see how the new recruit does. I'll have to bring my Ash All Stars Signature shirt so he can add his!

Checking on Ash Talk and Concert Stories to read US tour concert reviews but they don't seem to be posted anymore. There is the show in Richmond tonight, my old stomping ground but now that I've moved to Florida sadly I won't be able to attend. It would have been nice to be able to read a review of the show tomorrow but I guess that is not likely. I read on the forum that many are now more likely to be on Facebook, that's something I won't be doing, if it starts with "Face" I don't do it.

Hey Corza. I'm not a Facebook guy either, so here is a quick recap of the Richmond, VA show that I attended on Tuesday. I hadn't seen WA for the past 3 or 4 tours, so I was really pleased that they visited Richmond, which is only a 3 hour drive for me. The show started with an album faithful version of "Bonafide" followed by "Eyes Wide Open" and "Way Down South". I had not seen "WDS" performed live before, and that was a real treat. I love the lead in that tune, and Andy nailed it. Three Argus songs (King, Warrior, Sword) followed, then a short acoustic set featuring "Leaf and Stream" and "Wings of Desire". Those were nicely done. I can't recall the exact order of what followed, but included were a new song ( to me) about after the storm in honor of recent hurricane victims, Jailbait,Phoenix, Standing in the Rain, and one more that I have forgotten. Encores were "Living Proof" and "Blowing Free". This was the first time that I had seen Mark Abraham. He is very good, and blends well with Andy. At this point he isn't featured as much as Ben G or Muddy, but that may change over time. I thought that Mark's playing was great, and this was only his 10th show with WA according to Andy. Mark does not perform any vocals, so Bob Skeat provided all of the harmony vocals. I was seated directly in front of Bob, and was very impressed with his playing and vocals. I was hoping they would play "Persephone" but that didn't happen. That was my only disappointment for the evening. It was a fine show, and I'm glad I had another opportunity to see these guys.

Wait Out the Storm from Illuminations, I guess.

You are correct. I didn't recall that one. Also, the other song that they played was a great version of F.U.B.B.

Rob and Rainer thank you very much! I saw the shows in Denver the last couple of years and three shows here in Florida back in 2014 and many more over the years prior so since I didn't get to see a show this year I certainly appreciate the effort you made to post your review and input.
If you could I was wondering your impression of the Tin Pan. Thanks, corza.

This was my first show at the Tin Pan. I thought it was a good venue. It is similar to the Rams Head in Annapolis, but I would rate the Rams Head a bit higher for atmosphere and lighting. At the Tin Pan there is nowhere for the band to step offstage between the end of the set and the encore, so Andy and company awkwardly stood on the stage and stroked their beards. That said, I found the Tin Pan to be a good venue, and I would definitely return, possibly in November when the Strawbs play there. Food and beers were adequate. My table was right in front of the stage. It was like having WA playing in my living room.
