As is the tradition in Finland, someone shouted
"play Paranoid" and Ben did the opening riff,
totally out of tune. Guess you had to be there...

Thanks for that - I am sure you and the audience had a great time . No Miri on drums then and good to see John back on bass ( bet the bar takings are up ) . The other guitarist is new to me also but knowing Ben he will be good I am sure.
Would love to hear Bens version of Almighty Blues - maybe one day Finland will on the (Blues) horizon again but this time I will have to travel Way up North to get there

Ben Granfelt Band - Going Home (Official)


It's a re-recorded track originally from his 1999
solo CD E.G.O (Electric Guitar Oriented). This
version's on the new CD Handmade. Sounds like
the version played live by Wishbone Ash in the
Spring of 2001, but WA never recorded it.

Thanks for keeping us updated Rainer and good to hear that Ben is in good form.
Really like that 'Going Home' video - would love to go and see them if they came over.
I think all Wishbone Ash fans wish him well and remember his time with the band fondly - top man and great guitar player.
Shame we can't say the same for some of others

Just got Ben's new album (Handmade) via a Finnish store that ships worldwise, arrived in the post today, great stuff! Ben has taken a step into Ash direction on this one, with a big harmony guitar lead style on some songs, really love it. The remake of Home is killer btw! This album deserves a much wider release for guitarheads everywhere.
