Thanks Foxy! I believe this is the one.
It just says Martin Barre on the front I think. 1 studio and 1 live CD.

I went to see Martin Barre at The Robin 2 last November with youngest son Andrew (guitarist of The Mentulls). Great gig and so nice to see Martin "let loose" so to speak after 43 years in Tull. I gather he will be touring with his band (including fab guitarist Pat O'May) in the UK/Europe and US this year but no dates have been posted.

also listening to Martin Barre's compilation CD; there's some great guitar work (some of which for some reason reminds me of Ben G's style of riffs) and the minstrel guitar player as well. I'm looking forward to seeing him live with his own band for the first time.

Going back to Ted: I listened to a radio interview on his website when he mentioned his next release was due in June/July. Given the rate of his output over the past 40 years, I doubt if many of us will hold our breath! Nevertheless, it's really positive that he is still recording. 'Eclectic Values' is a patchy but always interesting record & Ted remains a truly accomplished player. As someone has already posted, I hope, too, that the album has fewer computer-generated sounds & more humanity in its playing. I think Ted could learn from Andy here: 'Elegant Stealth' brilliantly combines high quality modern production values with human emotional warmth in its impeccable, often stunning playing.

It 's always been a sadness to me how little recorded output either Ted or Laurie have put together outside Wishbone Ash. In their radically different ways, together with the Flying V master, they produced such unique sounds in the 70s & 80s. It is good, therefore, to see them active once again even if their music is not the Ash: thankfully AP & co. are doing the business for us on that front!

I totally agree here, Mallyboy! I guess that's why WA have had an uninterrupted carreer with Andy at the helm for nearly 44 years now - he has been the most stable one obviously. That is not meant in any negative way towards other members of the WA history.
Ted has lived his life outside the music business for many years, it is nice that he has found his way back to producing new music and I am happy he has the class to do that "outside WA", we all know who he is anyway ;-)

Martin is a very humble, very talented man. I'm saddened that Barre and Anderson seem done as creative partners, but Barre has well-earned the chance to strike out on his own from under the Tull banner.

Saw Mr. Barre in London a few days before we caught Ash in Islington in October, both great shows. He played some older Tull, some of his solo offerings, even a little Gov't Mule . Solid backup band, especially a gent whose name escapes me ( as many do these days ) who played every wind instrument that you ever saw in a high school band and then some, even sang on Fat Man. Thought we would win the award for having travelled the furthest to see the show, but there was a couple from Kansas that were catching several shows. When we were scouting the venue to make sure we could find it later we encountered Mr. Barre unloading his gear, he was very nice. A lot like those gents from Wishbone Ash!

I think you might be referring to Frank Mead who also plays in Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings amongst others. Great character and player :D 8-)

I can't believe some of you people would even think about buying anything made by Ted. We all waited for the first one and that was truly a piece of crap and now besides waiting for another piece of crap you have to remember that he sat on the other side of the courtroom from Andy trying to screw him with the other stooges and that right there is enough for me to never buy anything by Ted or the others again. I am pretty sure we are not going to miss the cd of the century.
