Your right he's great guitarist and his best stuff was with his time with Wishbone when he was creating something. Your also correct that his vocals were often under par especially on Locked In. However his vocals did improve on Number The Brave and particularly on Twin Barrels Burnings, they came across much stronger with an edge. Maybe it was a confidence thing.
I agree with Mallyboy. Although I am firmly in the Andy camp, I look back on all my Wishbone Ash history with great fondness and don't think ill of any ex members. I listen to all albums frequently from the 1st album to Elegant Stealth, go and watch them whenever I can and look forward to listening to Blue Horizon when it arrives!
