I just realised there's no thread on this DVD I watched it again last night after having done Live in London to death since it was released . It was strange seeing Ray again , but it brought back great memories and recognition in my own mind of the quality and character of the man. I must say that I'm really still undecided as to which the best of these two DVDs. Both are phenomenal . For me, TKWC and Warrior versions in Hamburg outstrip any other. The solos in Why Don't We and Sometime World are brilliant. Then you've got Raven, Sorrel/Capture the Moment, superbly done. TOTW is as good, if not a better version that Spirit of 66. Then of course Phoenix . . . . . . I've stopped comparing various Phoenix versions now because everyone I've seen/heard is brilliant. The Hamburg version is absolutely no exception, and I love the audience interaction.

**** Listened to this again this past weekend without the wife or kids **** I just get lost in the moment and feel like I'm at a show....Also, I like the selection of tunes a bit better than 'LIL' so I guess I'm a wee bit partial to this but that being said --it'll have to suffice until they come back to the states in the Spring --- hopefully!!

Live In Hamburg captures my favourite WA tour so far! It was the Valediction tour for me and also the tour that featured the highest amount of epic tracks (King, Warrior, Raven !!!, Sometime World, Valediction, Sorell, Tales) in a pretty long time. I will never forget that tour - as great as all the others were, this seems to have been "my" tour!
